Mark began working at Smyth & Murphy in 1979 as a machine operator before the trading company became Mirfak Pty Ltd in 1988. In later years, he moved into a management role and began handling accounts and sales before taking over the company and the role of Director from Mel Murphy (father) in 2008.
Mark has over 30 years experience in the grain trade and agricultural industries. With extensive knowledge of farming practices and cropping trends along with insight into commodity pricing and market operations, Mark is dedicated to driving his ever expanding business into the future while continuing research and development into new products and keeping ahead of market trends.

Gerard began working at Smyth & Murphy in 1976 as a machine operator before the trading company became Mirfak Pty Ltd in 1988. He then moved into heading the maintenance and engineering/design role for the company. During the period of 1997-2004 , Mirfak Pty Ltd also had business as cropping contractors which Gerard undertook and managed before the move was made to devote all resources to growing the company as a food ingredient manufacturer.
Research and development of new equipment for the plant and continuous improvement of current machinery and processes has been at the fore front of Gerard's time with the company. In 2008, along with Mark (brother), he became Co-Director of Mirfak Pty Ltd taking over from Mel Murphy (father).

Quality Assurance Manager
Elizabeth joined the team at Mirfak Pty Ltd, taking over Anthony's previous role, as the new QA Manager at the end of 2015. Elizabeth was a perfect fit for the company, bringing with her many years of experience from the Australian food industry.
Having previously working in quality management positions at large companies such as Sensient Technologies and Mars Australia, Elizabeth settled into the QA Managers role very quickly and continues to improve the quality of product and operations within the business.

David began working at Mirfak Pty Ltd as Production Manager in 2010. With extensive experience in staff and production management gathered from both studies and previous job placements,
David is dedicated to ensuring that high standards are adhered to and maintained throughout production processes and order systems while also co-managing OHS and First Aid at Mirfak Pty Ltd.
